Our live broadcasts are hosted by WPGW's John Boggs
interviewing public figures from the community and bringing you information on up and coming events. The WPGW
Breakfast Club airs live on WPGW 100.9FM/1440AM starting at 7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. every other Thursday on
WPGW.

June 2nd: Our first special guests for the second
season was Mike Eads from the Jay County Christian Academy, Sandy Bubp and Tom Young to talk about the Home and
Garden Tour & Garden Party, Jane Ann Runyon from the United Way of Jay County, and Brandon Cambell from the
Portland Arby's. All of our guest recieved a $5 off coupon from Cooks Nursery and Trim And congratulations to our
guest Jeannine Poole who won our guest draw for an oil change from Moser Motors of Portland.

Cambell talks on our show about the 1st Annual Hometown Heroes Day for June 4th. They will be honoring the late
Matt Aker, the Portland Fire Chief who died in a motorcycle accident in April. Donations through the event will go

June 30th
We give June a great send off today as we had an amazing show on the
breakfast club this morning. We had Brooke Aker, George Patterson and Lisa Elliot from the Portland Fourth of
July Committee to talk about all the activities for the event. Tim and Dave Poole talk about AeroCat
Bikes and the Time Trials Bike Race coming to Portland in July. We met Kathy Subler the new State Farm Agent in
Portland and introduced her the day before her ribbon cutting ceremony. And we had Portland Rockets Manager Randy
Miller and Jay County Panthers Manager Zeb Sutton talking about their programs on the Breakfast Club.

July 14th
Today we had a slew of people on our Breakfast. So many that we almost couldn’t keep track.
First we had Kelly Smeltzer director of the Jay County Marching Patriots Band talking with us about their
summer contests and their great summer show. We talked with Jennifer Nixon of Arts Place about the up and
coming concerts at the Hudson Family Park this summer. We also had a big crowd from the Jay County Fair
talking with us about the “History of Jay County Fair” display in the women’s building and different events
throughout the Jay County Fair the week of the 25th.

July 21st
Today we had a special show to talk about the Great Jay County Fair! we
had Donald Gillespie and Trent Paxson from the Jay County Fair Board to talk to us about events and the board of
the Great Jay County Fair. We had Cara Kobza from the Purdue Ext. Office talking about 4-H Projects. Paul Martin
the famous MC of the Jay County Fair Queen Pageant along with the 2011 Jay County Fair Queen Joni Degler talk
about the program and some changes to come with the new director Julie Hunt.

August 4th:
With the end of the Great Jay County Fair, we've come back with a new episode for the
first week of August. We talked with Chris Fennig of My Farms and Thaddeus Rex of "Read like a Rock Star" about the
new DreamHaven project and about Gov. Mitch Daniels arrival to Portland. We talked with Tara Drumm from the Jay
County Humane Society about the organization and all the work they do with the animals. And we talked with Ailesia
Franklin about The Glass Museum and improvements being done in Dunkirk.

It was a little chilly in Jay County this morning as we are in our second full week of
September. Today on our Breakfast Club we talked with Annette Alexander, Janice Fritz, and Mandee Mikulski about
the Taste of Jay County. The Pumpkin Fest starts this weekend with a corn maze addition so we talked with Sue Myers
plus Travis and Josh Richards about all the festivities this weekend. And we talked with Tom Frye and Kinsey Michal
about the Jay County Singers/Songwriters concert at Arts Place on Sept. 23rd.

said WPGW Breakfast Club host John Boggs as we completed another episode of our Breakfast Club today at the
Ponderosa Steakhouse in Portland. Today we had Jim Waechter from the Museum of the Soldier about the Military
Display and Chicken Dinner coming up this weekend. We had Kay Neumayr and Sara Wagar from the National Center for
Great Lakes Native American Culture about the Friendship Fire and other events coming up Oct. 22-23. And we had
Cane Bilbry from the Civic Theater who talked about their up and coming musical "Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of
Fleet Street" that will be coming to Arts Place starting Oct. 20th.

The weather was chilly with a little rain, but we stayed warm and dry inside the Ponderosa
Steakhouse for another episode of the WPGW Breakfast Club. We had Dave Hull the Fort Recovery School Board
President, and Shelly Vaughn Fort Recovery Superintendent who talked about the new property tax levy on the ballot
and the renovations for Fort Recovery Schools. We had Larry Kineer from State of the Heart about how they help
patients and families and about National Hospice Month. And we had Dave Keen who talks about Celebrate Recovery a
12 step program that he runs in Portland and Dunkirk.

Nov. 10th
We had a large crowd this week during the Breakfast Club. Starting off our show was Janice
Fritz and Sue Burk talking about this years Delts Craft Show. All the Winterfest Committee members sat in and told
us about all the activities coming up for Winterfest this year. We also had a special guest with the mayor-elect
Randy Geesaman who will be taking office in 2012.
We also had special guest from the Jay County Christian Academy. Teacher Roger Domingo
brought over his 7th and 8th grade class from the JCCA to see what a live show looks like at the Ponderosa
Steakhouse. After the show the students joined us at the station to learn a bit about how a radio station works
behind the scenes.

December 1st
Today we have some lovely ladies from the Youth Service Bureau; Nikki Brinkerhoff, Sharon Ross,
Marsi Dow, Stacey Blankenbaker, Tara Wellman, and Jessica Morgan talked about some of the services the Y.S.B.
provide for families. Scott Bollenbacher from Bollenbacher and Associates joined us on our show to let you know
what kind of changes will be made and what you can do to get ready for tax season. The great local entertainer
Thaddeus Rex gave us infomation about his concert next week and even gave us a sneak preview on our show this
morning.

We had a busy morning for our last Breakfast Club of the
year. We had Mayor Bruce Hosier talking about his eight years in office as Mayor of Portland. Michelle
Goldman and Carolyn
Carducci talked about "Ladies Night Out" at the Jay Community Center coming up next month. And we
had good old Saint Nick himself as he visited with the 3 and 4 year old preschool classes from
the Jay County Christian Academy.
