Staff Biography: Justin Mangold

Justin Mangold Sports Announcer for Girls/Boys Basketball and Baseball for Jay County High School.

Justin is a Portland native and 1994 graduate of Jay County High School. At JCHS he was a member of the Academic Team, National Honor Society, and three year member of the Jay Today Staff including play-by-play for Jay County boys and girls basketball and varsity baseball games. He was also the 1994 winner of the WPGW/Jay Today
Scholarship.

Justin graduated from Ball State University in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications with a News Option and also heavily studied political science. At Ball State, he was involved with broadcasts on WCRH-TV including it's nightly news show.

Justin joined WPGW in 2003 as a baseball broadcaster and has been involved with basketball broadcasts since 2005 as play-by-play broadcaster for girls basketball and color commentator for boys basketball.

A big sports fan, especially Ball State Football and Duke Basketball, Justin also ran the website TheCollegeHoops.com from 2003 to 2009. In his spare time Justin can be found on Facebook, watching sports, talking with friends, or playing games. He is currently single and lives in rural Portland.
